Why Intuitive Eating?
At its core, Intuitive Eating beckons us to let go of external rules and restrictions surrounding food. Instead, it invites us to listen to our bodymind’s unique signals and honor our bodymind. It can be a return to our born state of eating, where we tap into our inner wisdom.
In embracing Intuitive Eating as a framework, we create space for true self-discovery, one that goes beyond calorie counting or rigid meal plans. It requires cultivating a deep sense of trust in our body's ability to communicate its needs. Intuitive Eating explores the emotional and psychological aspects of our relationship with food, AKA topics we need to talk about in order to talk about food. It encourages us to reflect on our own food and body stories, and challenges the societal messages that have shaped our understanding of what is deemed "good" or "bad" when it comes to food and bodies.
By dismantling the guilt and shame associated with food, Intuitive Eating helps cultivate a better understanding of self, ease and self-compassion. Intuitive Eating offers an opportunity to reject the cycle of dieting and deprivation, and instead, embrace a sustainable and more easeful approach to nourishment.
Over the 8 weeks you will:
Recognize that you are not alone, there is a community of people around you.
Share your weekly challenges and wins with fellow group members.
Reduce your guilt and shame around food.
Work on challenging the belief weight = worth.
Reconnect with your body and foster your hunger & fullness cues.
Get curious with how certain foods make you feel - mentally, physically & emotionally.
Explore new ways of interpreting self-care.
Learn to embrace Intuitive Eating while navigating this diet culture obsessed world.
